Fragosikia
This plant is one of the most famous of the greeck islands of Cyclades, it's name is Prikly Pear and we call it "Fragosikia". Fragosikia is a fruiting cactus without trunk, consisting of fleshy parts which are its leaves joined together. Its fruits are yellow to ruby red, with small thorns like fluff on their surface. Its fruits appear on the perimeter of the leaves. It has sessile, yellow flowering. It’s a hardy plant with no special soil requirements, but it needs well- drained soils.
You can find fragosikia at almost every road of Paros island specially towards the hills.
